Breast Fest

Breast Fest is a fund-raiser to celebrate Geri Manning Miller's 50th birthday and her 15th year as a breast cancer survivor.  This one-time indoor/outdoor event will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Dick's in Ladd.  The Breast Fest schedule of events:

9:00 - Midnight  Slow Tuesday
Silent Auction  4:00 - 8:00pm

A Vintage Venue

Renovations are under way to convert the former Ladd Presbyterian Church at 126 South LaSalle Avenue into an antique and collectible shop.  'A Vintage Venue' is tentatively scheduled to open in August 2010.
 

Farmer's Market

The Ladd Farmer's Market is open each Monday thru September from 4:00 to 6:30pm in War Memorial Park.  Each week's Market offers a variety of items such as fresh garden produce, jams and jellies, baked goods and crafts.  There is no charge for vendors to participate. Market Coordinator Molly Thrasher has planned events throughout the season.  The Market will not be held on Labor Day, Monday, September 6th.  For more information, contact Molly @ 815-894-2619.
