2012 Youth Baseball/Softball Registration
Ladd Youth Baseball/Softball registration for all boys and girls (ages 5 - 16) wishing to play T-ball, Girls Softball, Instructional League, Minor League, Little League, Junior League and Senior League for the 2012 Baseball Season will be held on Saturday, February 18th and Saturday, February 25th from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Ladd Community Center, 303 North Central Avenue, Ladd. The national Little League Organization has imposed strict registration deadlines that need to be followed. We would strongly regret having to turn kids away for not registering on time.
Civil War Presentation
The Ladd Public Library District is hosting a presentation by author Ron Bluemer at 6:30pm on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in the library. Mr. Bluemer will lead a presentation on his most recent book "Rally Round the Flag: The Impact of the Civil War on the Illinois Valley". His book focuses on the experiences of the Civil War volunteers, primarily farm boys from the LaSalle County area, based mainly on their preserved letters which provide firsthand accounts of camp life, battles and the hardships of war.

Men's Club Organizational Meeting
An organizational meeting to establish a Ladd Men's Club will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, March 5, 2012, in the Ladd Community Center. Interested men ages 21 and over are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact Dave Margherio at 815-894-3257.
Ladd Fire Department Seeking Applications
The Ladd Fire Department will be accepting applications for new firefighters. The department is an all volunteer department.
