Memorial Day Services

Ladd American Legion Harold E. Russell Post #938 will conduct Memorial Day services on Monday, May 27, 2013, at the following locations: 8:00am - Ray Barto Memorial Park, Seatonville; 8:30am - Berean Cemetery; 9:00am - Cherry Miner's Cemetery, Cherry; 9:45am - Calvary Cemetery, Arlington; 10:15am - Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille; 11:15am - Dalzell Memorial Park, Dalzell; 11:45am - Ladd Cemetery, Ladd; and 12:15pm - War Memorial Park, Ladd.  The guest speaker will be US Air Force Col. Kevin Anderson (retired).  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.  In case of inclement weather, some of the above services will be cancelled.  The Cherry program will move to Holy Trinity Church Hall; the War Memorial Park program will move to the Ladd Community Center; and the Greenfield Cemetery program will move to Allen Junior High School.

Village Wide Garage Sales

Ladd's Village Wide Garage Sales will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013.  Sale maps will be availabe on Wednesday, May 29th at Casey's, North Central Bank in Ladd, the Village Hall and on the village's website.  Lunch will be available at the Ladd Community Center from 10:00am - 1:00pm.  For more information or to be added to the map, call the Village Clerk at (815) 894-2440 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. E-Books Available to Library Patrons

P2D2 Program

Residents are encouraged to use the Prescription Pill Drug Disposal Program (P2D2) to dispose of their unused or outdated prescription drugs.  A permanent P2D2 collection box is located in the Village Clerk's office.  P2D2 is a collaborative effort between communities, local pharmacies, police departments, hospitals, city officials, students, and more.  The mission of the program is to provide communities with a proper method of pharmaceutical disposal that effectively reduces the misuse and abuse of pharmaceuticals, as well as, ensures the quality of our water and wildlife for future generations.
